WHEREAS, The Office of Emergency Planning advanced certain
fun.ds for expenditures in regard to the flood of 1965 to the City
of Saint Paul, which advanced funds exceeded the allowable ex—
penditures made by the City in the amount of �27 ,02'7. 54, according
to the certification submitted by the auditors of the Office of
Emergency Planning; and
WHEREAS, The audit made by the City of Sain.t Paul disclosed
a credit in the amount of �239. 85 as being deducted twice and
therefore the correct amount of the claim is �26,'787.f�; and
Wf�REAS, There remains a balance of �800.90 in the Flood
Emergency Repair Fund (0287) , which balance if remitted to the
Office of Emergency Plan.ning would leave a balance owing by the
City in the sum of �25,986,79; and
WHEREAS, The City was notified of the claim by the Office
of Emergeney Planning, after the 1968 budget was approved by the �
City Couneil and, therefore, the City is not able to provide
for this reimbursement in the year of 1968; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Comptroller of the City of Saint Paul
be and is hereby directed to provide in the 196g budget for the
liability of the City in the amount of �25,986.'79; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Office of Emer�ency Planning be
paid the amount of �25,g86.7� as its claim as soon as possible
after the adoption of the 196g budget.
