Dear Mr. Engelbrekt:
RE CEIVED
APR 12
NfAL ESTqtE D1V
On April 12, 2001 Nancy Rude, then congregation president of our
church, sent your office a letter requesting that the City of Saint Paul
create an assessment for a fire protection system to be installed as part of a
church renovation project. On October 24, 2001 the application was
approved by the City Council and the assessment was made "pending" in
the amount of $202,600.00.
We have completed the installation and have decided not to finance the
work through assessment. We therefore request that you cancel the
pending assessment. Enclosed is a check in the amount of $500.00, made
payable to the City of Saint Paul, to cover the City's administrative costs
in accordance with city policy and as agreed to in Ms. Rude's 4/12/O1
letter.
I would appreciate your sending me written confirmation of the cancelled
assessment. You may send it to my attention at the church address. I
appreciate your assistance in this matter.
Sierely,
