1 WIIEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Pazks and Recrearion has a cooperarive partner in the Capital Region Watershed
2 District (CRWD); and

4 WHEREAS, the CRWD has offered to enter into a$7,000 agreement with Parks and Recreation to be used toward
5 funding a natural resource intern; and

WIIEREAS, the natural resources intern will work on Como Shoreland restoration maintenance, natural area
and wildlife surveys, invasive plant monitoring and control, water-quality education arid interpretation, and
participation in and/or leading volunteer natural resource activities; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation is willing and able to staff this position; and

13 WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there
14 are available for appropriarion, funds of $7,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2004 budget; and

16 WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following additions be made to the 2004 budget:

34 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute agreements
35 with the CRWD to accept and implement said ageement.
