1 YVHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory are much-Zoved destinations enjoyed by over 1.7 million people each year
2 and pZaces for inspiration, Zearning and fun; and
3 WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory have made Saint Paul a wonderful place to live and have provided a century
4 of creating memories and inspiring appreciation of the natural world,� and
5 WHEXEAS, the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Society is a nonprofit organization that works to promote, support,
preserve and enhance Como Park Zoo and Conservatory; and
WHEREAS, one of the Society's events is Your Map To the Wild Side of Town, a promotion for Como Park Zoo and
Conservatory to setl the Pioneer Press on Aprit 21 s` to benefzt the Zoo and Conservatory; and
9 WHEREAS, the citizens, institutions, organizations, and agencies of the City of Saint Paul are invited to join in this event
10 with Como Park Zoo and Conservatory; rtow, therefore be ii
11 RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul proclaims April 21, 2004 to be
12 COMO PARKZOOAND CONSERVATORYDAY
13 in the City of Saint Paul in recognition of the contribution Como Park Zoo and Conservatory makes in providing a high
14 quality of life in Saint Paul and in support of Your Map to the Wild Side of Town as a means for investing in Como Park Zoo
15 and Conservatory's future; and be it
16 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council exhorts all citizens to join in honoring the Como Park Zoo and
17 Conservatory on this special day of recognition.
