WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul, a municipal corporation,
accepted an offer from the United States Government for an advance
for preparation of planning documents pertaining to a public work
described as Preliminary and Final Planning, P—Minn. 3093, Eagle
Street Parking Facilities, upon recommendation of the City
Architect and the Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Civic
Buildings, that the plans comply with all applicable codes and
regulations; and
WHEREAS, Convention Center Architects and Engineers,
Inc. was engaged to prepare the plan.ning documents for the afore—
said public work and said architect has completed documents and
submitted them for approval; and
WHEREAS, The Civic Center Commission has approved such
plan.ning doouments on May 16, 1968, and recommen.ded to the City
Council of the City of Saint Paul approval of said documents; and
WHEREAS, The completed preliminary planning documents
have.,_��_�ar_e�ully s�udi-ed arid are considere� to co�priss ad�quate
planb:in.g for the public work essential to the community and within
the financial ability of the City of Saint Paul to construct; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul, the
governing body of said applicant, that the preliminary planning
documents submitted by Convention Center Architects and Engineers,
Inc. as the basis for the Eagle Street Parking Facilities dated
February 10, 1968, be and the same are hereby approved and that
the proper City officials are hereby authorized to re uest interim
payments for said preliminary plans in the amount of �57 ,960.00;
and that certified copies of this resolut�j.��.M APPROVEDwith the
Housing and Home Finance Agency.
