OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL UTION-G NE L FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE � WHEREAS, Chapter 8'74 of the Laws of Minnesota for 1963 authorized the Water Pollution Control Commission to eatablish stan.dard for sewage treatment; and WHEREAS, Chapter 882 of the Laws of Minnesota for 1963 required the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Sanitary District to submit a plan for improved treatment of sewage, such program to include engineering studies and financing plans; and WHEREAS, Such plans were developed as follows: Northeast region - prepared by Saint Paul Northwest region - prepared by Minneapolis Southwest region - prepared by the Sanitary Diatrict which plans the Sa3[itary District has submitted to the Water Pollution Control Commission; a.nd � WFiEREAS, In accordanee with said statutes, the City ia in the process of developing for implementation of said atatutes revised sewer charges based ori sewage flow; and WHEREAS, This Coun.cil has pending before it a propoaed ordinance which would permit the Council to authorize by resolu- tion agreements between the City and its Suburbs; and WHEREAS, Agreements are presently being drafted between the City and its Suburbs whieh contemplate a provision that the Suburba shall pay the City for the "Suburbs' share of the costs incurred and recorded by the Gity for administration and billing under this agreement" ; an.d FO PPROVED � ; Asst, Corporation Counsel COUNCILMEN Adopted by the Council 19_ Yeas Nays Carlson Dalglish Approved 19� Holland in Favor Meredith Peterson MaYor Tedesco A Sainst � .
