RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL TO
REMEDIATE CONTAMINATION AND PREPARE SITE OF THE MAI VILLAGE RESTAURANT
SITE
WIIEREAS, the City Council on November 12, 2003, by Resolution Number 03-1015, authorized D. & N.,
Inc. dba Mai Viilage Restaurant to apply to the Metropolitan Council for a grant, on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul, and to allow the City of Saint Paul to accept and execute such documents and budget amendments
as are necessary to fulfill the terms of the grant agreements to allow contamination remediation and site
preparation of the Mai Village Restaurant site ("ProjecP'); and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved a$75,000 grant ("GranY') from its Tax Base Revitalization
Account (TBRA) for the Project; and
WIIEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby
certify that $75,000 in funds aze auailable for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2004 budget
and recommends the following changes to the 2004 budget:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts the Grant to be used
for the Project, approves the above changes to the 2004 budget, and hereby authorizes and directs the proper
City officials to execute all documents and agreements needed to implement this resolution.
