RESOLVID, That upon reconsideration and for the purpose of effectuating the true
intent and purpose of the Council and to provide therefor and facilitate the acquisi-
tion under the pawer of eminent domain by the City of Saint Paul of the necessary lands
for the purpose of partially opening, widening, and extending Marion Street, from Uni-
versity Avenue to Como Avenue, the prior resolution of this Council in the nature of
a Final Order designated as C.F. No. 2�-00�+6, approved September 3, 1968, be amended
to read as follows:
In the matter of par�ially opening, widening and extending MARION ST. from Univer-
sit;� Ave. to Como Ave. by condemning and taking for street purposes the following described
parcels of land, all in the City of St. Pau1, Minnesota;
That part of Block 29 of Dawson's Subdivision of Block 13 and the North
150 feet of Block 29, Lafond's Addition to St. Paul; bounded by the fol-
lowing described line: Beginriing at a poin� on the west line of Marion
Street at the south line of Lot 13, Block 29; thence west along said
south line a distance of 50 feet; thence northeasterly on a straight line
to a point on the west li�e of Marion Street 140 feet dis�ance north of
the south line of said Lot 13; thence south along said west line of Marion
Street to the point of beginning,
under Preliminary Order 2��130, approved June 30, 1967, Intermediary Order 2397�9,
approved August 6, 1968.
A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, a.nd
the Council havin� heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto,
and having fully considered the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent
and kind of inprovement to be made by the said City is partially opening, widening and
extending Marion St. from University Ave. to Como Ave. by condemning and taking for
street purposes the following described parcels of land, all in the City of St. Pa.ul,
Minnesota: �
That portion of Lots 12 and 13, Dawson's Sub., described as follows: Be-
ginning at, the southeast corner of said Lot 13; thence westerly along
the south line of said Lot 13 a distance of 11 feet; thence northeasterly
along a straight line to the northeast corner of said Lot 12; thence on
a straight line to the point of beginning,
and the Council hereby orders said impr-�vements to be made.

RESOLVED Further, That the follawing land, lands or easements therein be and the
same are hereby ordered to be taken, appropriated and condemned for the purpose of ma-
king said improvements, viz. ;
Partially opening, widening and extending MARION ST. from University Ave. to Como
Ave. by condemning and taking for street purposes the following described pa.rcels of
land, all in the City of St. Pa.ul, Minnesotat
That portion of Lots 12 and 13, Dawson's Sub. , described as f'ollo�ws: Beginning

Lot 13 a distance of 11 feet; thence northeasterly along a straight line to the north-

Resolved Further, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed
and directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and the proper
city officials are hereby authorized and directed to proceed with the making of said
improvement in accordance therew ith.
