Resolution authorizing filing of applPcation with the Department of Hcusing and
Urban Development, United States of America, fior a grant under P.L. 89-117.
WHEREAS, pursuant to P.L. 89-117 the kinited States of America has authorized the
making of grants to public bodies to aid in financing the construction of basic
�rater and sewer projects:
Now Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of St. Paul
1. That Mayor Thomas R. Byrne be a�d he is hereby authorized to execute and file
an application on behalf of the City of St. Paul with the Departr�ent of
Housing and Urban Develop�nent, United States 6ovet-nment, for a grant to aid
in fi�ancing the constraction of St. Anthony Nill Trunk Storm Ser�rer Tunnel
(S-g71A) , and an assurance cf canpliance with the Department of Housiag and
Urban Developnent regulations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
2. That Robert F. Peterson, Coamissioner of Public Works, be and he �s Mereby
authorized and directed to furnish such infonnation as the D�partmeflt of
Housing and Urban Development may reasonabiy request in connection with the
application which is herein authorized to be filed.
