Prop- e ties will be acquired from willing sellers during the next twelve months a necessary to meet the housing demand generated by the relocation of low- - i come families from our renewal projects. � Ea �h property will be closely inspected prior to acquisition to determine wh ther it can be rehabilitated within budget limitations. - � • Th properties will most likely vary in age from 10 to 50 years. The rehab- il tation work will consist of bringing the properties up to the rehabilitation st ndards as established for local urban renewal projects. It is the intention of he Authority to ultimately dispose of the properties to eligible low-income fam lies in accordance with HUD "Homeownership Programs". However, the ravised limits, approv- �ed by HUD 9/13/68, reflected an adjustment necessary to bring the income limits more in line with the gap objective, since the previous limits were established at a level which created a gap substantially greater than the 20x differential. 7. DEM� STRe�TIO►�i OF ADE UACY OF RELOCATION RESOURCES AND REL�CATIO:i PL.AI�i This program involves the purchase of existing single family hames which will be prim rily middle-income owner occupied. The Authority does not anticipate any diff culty in providing adequate lo�-rent accommodations� either through this prog or through the use of existing resources, to serve those few tenant famil es that may be of. low-income and may be occupyin� the sfngl� family struc- tures being purchased. None of the houses to be acquired can be identified at this ime. The 120 dwellings will be acquired at a rate of about 10 dwellings per month over the next twelve months. Although it isn't po$sible to identify the speci fc families involved at this time, we anticipate no difficulty in meeting our relocation obligations with existing housing resources. The Authority has a cent al relocation staff as well as relocation ataffs assigned to our renewal office which will assist displaced families in finding adequate housing.
