471 44, the proper City officials are hereby authorized and
dir cted to pay police officer Herbert Dawis and his attorne�,
The dore J. Collins, the sum of $150.U0 out of Tort Liability
Fun No. 0035 in full reimbursement for necessary and reasonable
att rney�s fees as itemized on the statement attached hereto and
mad a part hereof by reference, incurred as the result of the
law ul arrest of a traffic law offender by said Officer Davis on
Sep ember 20, 1968, in the course of his regular duties, wher�by
said traffic law offender sustained injuries which exposed said
Off'cer Davis to possible criminal and civil liability.

I might add that there has been a payment
, made upon this matter in the amount of $�5 , leaving
an unpaid balance in the amount of $125 .
I agree with Mr. Davis and yourself that
this is properly a matter that should be paid for by
the City. At the time of the original incident how�
ever, my representation was of Mr. Davis as an indi-
vidual. If there is any further questions on the
matter please contact me. You will note the charges
i made in view of the time involved, particularly the
i hours involved, are well beneath the Ramsey County
I Bar minimum. This is because of th'e understanding
�� which I had that the bill would be paid by Mr. Davis
as an individual. The services rendered were, as I
am sure you wi11 recognize, of a value in excess of
what was billed.
