1 WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is ready to design and administer a contract for the
2 installation of an above standard twin lantern lighting system on West 7th Street from Madison
3 Avenue to Munster Avenue, and

5 WHEREAS, the installation of the above standazd lighting system is a continuation of the lighting
6 system that will be installed as part of the T.H. 5 Historic Fort Road Gateway Project scheduled
7 for construction in 2004, and

9 WHEREAS, a Final Order under Council FSle No. 03-1119 has been approved for the installation
10 of the above standard lighting system and for the ongoing operation costs of said improvement, and
11
12 WHEREAS, District Council 15 has applied for and been awarded STAR funding in the amount of
13 $200,OOQ which is one-half of the estimated cost for the installation of the above standard twin
14 lantern lighting system, so

16 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the
17 Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $400,000 is available
18 for appropriation in the 2004 Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this
19 Council, be hereby further ameneded in the Improvement Budgets, in the following particulars:
