WHEREAS,� The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent,
the Co issioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Public Safety of the City
of Sain Paul, has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certain property
describ d as follows:
Lot 10, Block 8, Brunsons Addition to the Town of St. Paul
in the County of Ramsey and Territory of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS,I The property described therein is necessary for the site of the new
Fire St tion No. 4, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at
the tot 1 amount of $11,000.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the
apprais 1 obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the
price s ated above, as �videnced by the letter of said Committee submitted
herewit ; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVE , That pursuant to Section 303 of ths Charter of the City of Saint Paul,
the Cou cil of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the
lands d scribed as:
Lot 10, Block 8, Brunsons Addition to the Town of St. Paul
in the County of Ramsey and Territory of Minnesota; and
RESOLVE FURTHER, That the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and
directe to pay to Arnold W. and Bonnie J. Mackey, record fee owners, the sum of
$11,000.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors, from PIR Fund Code 6000,
to be reimbursed from Fund 9167-501-001, upon their furnishing evidence of good
marketa le title in the aforesaid vendors, and total payment to ,be made upon
tender said parties of appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to
the Cit of Saint Paul.

Gentlemen:
The City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has
negotiated to purchase certain property described as follows:

Lot 10, Block 8, Brunsons Addition to the Town of
St. Paul in the County of Ramsey and Territory of
Minnesota.
The owners of the above described land, Arnold W. and Bonnie J.
ackey, have accepted an offer tendered by the City in the amount
of $11,000.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the
�C ity.
his property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City
f Saint Paul for the site of new Fire Station No. 4. In view of
he reasonable price for which it can be purchased, said price being
he appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we, the
ommittee on Lands, do recommend to the Council of the City of Saint
aul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of condem-
ation proceedings at the price of $11,000.00 as negotiated with the
wners.
