WHEREAS, salary monies to add temporary employees to assist in construction inspecrion and survey efforts for the 2004
Construction Season were approved in the Council's Conringency Budget; and
WfIEREAS, those salarymonies mustbe transfened withinPublic Works Engineering acfiviries from the Council Conringency
Budget to the Salary Budget; and
WHEREAS, the temporary employees willprovide assistance needed to provide adequate and timely inspection and survey
services so as not to delay the Contractor and thus incur Contractor claims; now therefore be it,
RESOLVED, that the 2004 budget of the Public Works Engineering Fund be amended as follows:

Salary monies to add temporary employees for the 2004 Conshuction Season were approved in the Council Contingec
budgets and require expensing from salary budgets. A release and transfer of such monies is required prior to sta�ng
adjushnents.

Unless monies are transferred, ttie current work force for 2004 Capital Conshuction Projects will remain understaffed
resulting in unrimely conshuction inspection and surveys which could slow construcrion progress and require extending
contract periods.
