RESOLVED:
That the Council hereby grant permission to the
46th District New Democratic Coalition to hold a parade in
the downtown area of St. Paul on Friday, April llth, 1969,
at approxima.tely 12:00 noon.
The route of the parade will begin at the State
Capitol, to Cedar, to Fourth, to the Federal Courts Building.
The purpose of the march is to demonstrate sorrow
for the 700 men from Minnesota killed in Viet Nam and to
emphasize the marchers intense desire for an immediate end
to the carnage. They expect to have at least 500 marchers.
