"'-' OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OU CIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COM M I551 ON E DATF WHEREAS, the Mil�aaukee Railroad has petitioned for dis- continuance of Passenger �rains Nos. 15 and 16 operating between Minneapolis and Aberdeen, South Dakota; and WHEREAS, these trains are being used by the traneling public along a 290 mile route and there is no adequate alternative service available, these being the last remaining trains on this line; and WHEREAS, these trains contribute to the economic growth and industrial expansion of the communities which they serve; and WAEREAS, it appears that public convenience and necessity require that these trains be continued; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Council go on record as opposing the dis- continuance of these trains, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Interstate Conunerce Com¢nission.
