u1, Q.F. No. 238993, approved June 11, 1968, an award of damages
of $18,0(X).00 was ratified and �onfirmed, and under Resolution of
th� �ounail of the City of Saint Paul, C.F. No. 239�+05� approved
July 1l, 1968, said amount was set asid� in �he Treasury of the
City of Sain� Paul, in eonne�tion wi�h the takin� under the pow�r
of eminent doma.in of tha� eertain land described on Exhibit A,
which is attaehed hereto; and
WHEREAS, �he landowners Daniel M. Piila and �arlyn Pi11a have
perfected an appeal from the�award to the Distria� �ourt of R�amsey
�ouri�y, but, because of the pres� of �a�e� and other matters pendin�
before said �our� �he parties may no� ha.ve their rights determined
for some tim�; that, in view of the extreme need for app�llants to
•� •- < locate an al�er���ive place of residenc� for themselves and �h�ir
ahildren, 3.t ser�res the publ3.c purpose to release a portion of th�
fund� �o aid the landowner in his ne�d; and
