RESOLUTION
CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA

WHEREAS, the River of Life Christian Church was founded by Pastor Amold Park Williams; and,
WHEREAS, Pastor Williams spent over twenty-five years sowing seeds of wisdom, righteousness and
goodness among God's people, locally, nationally and intemationally; and,
4 WHEREAS, Pastor Arnold was known for his love and compassion for all people, especially the
5 wounded and hurting, his vision for his community, and his integrity, and was known as a pastor's Pastor and
6 was continuously sought after for his wisdom and love; and,
7 WHEREAS, members of the community desire to recognize and memorialize Pastor Arnold Park
8 Williams contributions to the coznmunity; and
9 WHEREAS, co-nasning a street after someone who has served the community is an acceptable way to
10 honor their contributions; and
11 WHEREAS, the River of Life Christian Church was located at 999 Selby Avenue during much of Pastor
12 Williams career; now, therefore be it
13 RESOLVED, that Selby Avenue in the City of Saint Paul, between Oxford Street and Chatsworth
14 Street, is hereby co-named and given the additional name of Reverend Dr. Arnold Park Williams Avenue
15 and that the appropriate signage will be placed by the Department of Public Works at each corner from Oxford
16 Street along Selby Avenue to Chatsworth Street.
