' ,� FICE OF THE CITY CLERK � CO I S UT ON—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY � � COMMISSIONE DATF WHE S, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Parks and Rec�reation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Paul, has secur d an agreement f or the purchase of that certain property descri�ed as follows: Lot 21, Au�.itorTs Subdivision No. 8 St. Paul Minn. ; and WHEREAS, The prdperty described therein is necessary for the Acker Recreation Cent r, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at�the total amount of $11,250.00, a fair and reason- able price acco�ding to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and WHEREAS, Said Copnmittee has recommended the purchase of said property at the �price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee s�ubmitted herewith; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the lands described as: Lot 21, Auditor's Subdivision No. 8 St. Paul Minn. ; and RESOLVED Further that the proper City officials are hereby author- ized and directed to pay to Ernest E. and Hazel 0. Brandt, record fee owners, the sum of $11,250.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors, from PIR Fund Code 6000, to be reimbursed from Fund 9768-501-002, upon their furnishing evidence of good market- able title in the aforesaid vendors, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said parties of appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to the City of Saint Paul. The owners of the above described land, Ernest E. and Hazel 0. Brandt, have accepted an offer tendered them by the City in the amount of $11,250.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the City. This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint Paul for the Acker Recreation Center. In view of the rea- sonable price for which it can be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we, the Com- mittee on Lands, do recommend to the Council of the City of Saint Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of con- demnation proceedings at the price of $11,250.00 as negotiated with the owners.
