OFFICE OF TH CITY CLERK CO C ESO T N-GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE DATF WHEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pau1, has secured an agreement for the purchase of those certain properties described as follows: Lots 19, 20, 23, and 24, Block 38, Mayfield's Subdivision of Lots 37 and 38, Pioneer Real Estate and Building Society's Subdivision, Saint Paul; and Subject to Hoyt Ave. ; the south 426.60 feet of the east 60 feet of Lot 39, The Pioneer Real Estate and Building Society Subdivision of N.2 of N.W.µ Sec. 22, T. 29, R. 22; and Subject to Birmingham and Hoyt Avenues, all of Lot 39, The Pioneer Real Estate and Building Society Subdivision of N.2 of N.W.0 Sec. 22, T. 29, R. 22, except the east 60 feet thereof and except the north 250 feet thereof; and WHEREAS, The properties described therein are necessary for the Frost Lake Recreation Area, and the price at which the properties may be purchased is at the total amount of $23,900.00, afair and reasonable price according to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the p�:rchase of said properties at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, the �ouncil of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the lands described as; COUNCILMEN Adopted by the Counci� 19— Yeas Nays Carlson Dalglish Approved 19—_ Meredith ,�In Favor Peterson c Sprafka u Mayor A gainst Tedesco Mr. President, Byrne O - , - � 24��28 ORI6INAL TO CITY CLg(2K � ' CITY OF ST. North, record fee owners, the sum of $23,900.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors, from PIR Fund Code 6000-501, to be reimbursed from Fund 9767-501-002, upon their furnishing evidence of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendors, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said parties of appropriate deeds con- veying title to said properties to the City of Saint Paul. North, have accepted an offer tendered them by the City in the amount of $23,900.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the City. This property is needed by the City of Saint Paul for the Frost Lake Recre- ation Area. In view of the reasonable price for which it can be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we, the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Courri.l of the City of Saint Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of condemnation proceedings at the price of $23,900.00 as negotiated with the owners.
