RESOLVED FIJRTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instrueted and
directed to pregare plans and specifications for sai d improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pra
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioaer of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Com�uissioner of Fublic Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order
of the Council known as Council File No. 242894 approved March 28th. 19 69
relative to reconstructing the sidewalk on both sides of Macalester St. from Niles Ave.
to Juno Av�. and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete
said improvement.
and haviag investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $3<50 per lin. ft. for atandard sidewalk S. ft<
wide and $4.20 per lin. ft. for standard sfdewalk 6 ft, w�ide.
2. A plan, profil� or aketch of said improvement. is hereto attached and made a
part thereof.
