WI�REAS, a state of e�rgency was proelaimed to exist by the l�ayor on April 9,
1969, and by resolution of the Council per C.F. No. 242�41 approved March �+, 1969; and
WHEREAS, the Council by resolution C.F. No. 24235�+, approved Feb, 27, 1g69,
suthorized and directed the purchase of reusable steel floodwall extenders for use on
Shepaxd Road; and
GIAEREAS, the Council by resolution C.F. No. 242503, approved l�a.rch 7, �969,
au�horized and d3rected the purcha.se for hire of' the necessary equipment, materials
and labor Por the erection o� the said f'lood�rall extend.ers; and
WA[E�tF�AS, the Departmeat o� Public Works no�r requests the purchase for hire of
the necessary labor, equip�ent, vehicles and materials for the removal, cleaning,
eoating o� sa3d floodwall extenders; and
WI�REAS, the Department of Public Works also requests the purchase of the neces-
sary me.terials and labor for eonstruction oP a metal storage building wherein the
floodwall extend.ers can be stored; be it
RESOLVED, that the plans and specific�tions for the removal, cleaning, co�ting
and storage oP the floodwall extenders and for the construction ofl e. metal storage
building, as subm3.tted by the Co�n3.ssioner of Public bdorks, be and the same axe
hereby approved; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent be and he 3.s hereby directed to advertise
Por bids for the rempval, cleau3.ng, coatin� and storage oP the floodwall extenders;
