WHEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent,
tYi� Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Public Safety of the City
of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certai_ri
pxoperty described as follows:
Lots 8 and 9, Block 8, Brunsons Addition to the Town of St. Paul
in the County of Ramsey and Territory of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the site of the new
Fire Station No. 4, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at
the total amount of $18,500.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the
appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the
price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted
herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul,
the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the
lands described as:
Lots 8 and 9, Block 8, Brunsons Addition to the Town of St. Pau1
in the County of Ramsey and Territory of Minnesota; and
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the propc�r City Officials are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to Antonio Cocchiarella, record fee owner, the sum of
$18,500.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor, from PIR Fund Code
6000, to be reimbursed from Fund 9167-501-001, upon his furnishing evidence
of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and total payment to be made
upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveying title to said property
to the City of Saint Paul.

Gentlemen:
The City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer,
has negotiated to purchase certain property described as follows:
Lots 8 and 9, Block 8, Brunsons Addition to the Town of
St. Paul in the County of Ramsey and Territory of Minnesota.
The owner of the above described land, Antonio Cocchiarella, has
accepted an offer tendered by the City in the amount of $18,500.00
as compensation for the sale of the said land to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City
of Saint Paul for the site of new Fire Station No. 4. In view of
the reasonable price for which it can be purchased, said price
being the appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we,
the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Council of the City of
Saint Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of
condemnation proceedings at the price of $18,500.00 as negotiated
with the owner.
