1 WHEREAS, ttze Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee is donating a labyrinth to be
2 located southwest of the pedestrian bridge over Lexington Parkway in Como Regional Pazk; and
3 WHEREAS, the work will be done accarding to plans and specifications approved by the
4 City of Saint Paul and either be performed by a licensed, insured and bonded contractor, or by
5 persons covered by liability insurance and other appropriate insurance coverage; and
6 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee has also agreed to be
7 responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the labyrinth and related site furnishings;
8 NOW, THEI2EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul
9 hereby authorizes the proper City officials to enter into agreements with the SainC Paul-Nagasaki
10 Sister City Committee for the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of the ta}�yrinth;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 hereby accepts
the generous donation of the labyrinth from the Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee and
thanks them for their gifl.
