Gentlemen:
On May 28, 1969 we submitted certain indicated rates to your honorable
body regarding Electrician and related titles. We ask that the indicated
rates for the followi.ng be changed as listed below:
Indicated rate Indicated rate
Class submitted May 28 as of Jun:e 24

General Foreman (School Maintenance) 7. 11 6. 95
General Lighting Foreman 7. 11 6. 95

This is not in conformance with Ordinance No. 6446 which indicates that
86. 5% of this differential should be added.
This is the reason for these submitted changes and we ask that your honorable
body consider these new indicated rates when determining the new rates for
the above specified positions.

be delayed so as to afford time to us for further study and negotiation with
Local No. 110 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
We also recommend that, if the Council requests further study regarding the
four above-mentioned classes of position, the resolution which will provide
for fncreases for the other positions also include a provision that any increases
which result from this study and negotiation become retroactive to June 28, 19b9,
which date would be the effective date of the granting of increases to all of the
other classes other than the above-mentioned four classes in the Lighting
Department.
