WHEREAS, Mayor Randy Kelly's Capital City Education Iniriative places a hi� priority on all children
in Saint Paul reading at grade level by grade 3; and
W�REns, The 3M Foundation and the St. Pau1 Travelers Foundation attempt, through charitable giving,
to assist education efforts; and
W�rtEAS, The 3M Foundation has agreed to donate $10,000 and the St. Paui Travelers Foundation has
agreed to donate $80,000 in support of Mayor Kelly's education initiatives; and
TI�REFO1zE, BE iT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this coniriburion by the 3M
Foundation and by the St. Paul Travelers Foundation for the Capatal Ciry Education Initiative.
