Marshall, Cit Clerk Room 386, City Hall & Cour house Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 Dear Sir: This is written in response to the application of Superior "400" Oil Company for a permit to install and operate a new filling station and for a permit to install a 71-car parking lot to be used in conjunction with a proposed Mr. Steak Restaurant. The property is located on the west side of Ruth Street between Sub- urban Avenue and highway I-94 and is further described as Lot 1, Block 17, Scenic Hills k 4 & Lot 9, Block 19, Scenic Hills k 5. These matters were considered at the May 15, 1969 Board of Zoning meeting. In connection with both of these matters the staff summar- ized its report concluding that plans meet required design stan- dards and have been approved by the Traffic Engineer. One letter in opposition wasroted and is attached. It was the finding of the Board of Zoning that these applications should be granted because required design standards have been met and have the approval of the Traffic Engineer. The Board, there- fore, recommends approval by a 4-0 vote on each matter.
