7 W HEREAS, much ofthis important health risk is preventable by the implementation of comprehensive smoke-free
8 policies; and
9 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Legislative agenda includes the smoking ban as a top priority during the 84`

11 THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council supports the State Freedom To

13 and encourages the body of the 84" Legislative Session to pass legislation prohibiting smoking in bars and
14 restaurants state-wide.
