He was known as a pastor's Pastor and was continuously sought after for his wisdom and love. He had the ability to see solutions to every difficult situation. Together, he and his wife, Pastar Bettie Williams walked hand-in-hand demonstrating God's Kingdom principles in the earth for over 25 years. Pastor Arnold preached his first sermon 30 days after his powerful deliverance and it was plain to see that he was a man of destiny and that he had a very special work to do for the Lord. The ministry began in 1974 as a storefront at 606 Selby Avenue. In 1979, the church began a full time shepherding ministry with regular Sunday morning services. In 1982, the church moved to 999 Seiby Avenue and then to its current locafion at 739 Summit in July 1996. Pastor Arnold was a powerful teacher of the Ward of God and he was known for the authority he had in the word of God through his obedience. Many broken lives were mended by the power of God working through ministry. Although he was small in stature, the presence of God permeated his life to such a degree that he could motivate others to supernatural faith causing them to be healed and delivered, going on to live productive lives and become generals in the work of the kingdom of God. The Vision the Lord gave Pastor Amold is supported by his wife and co-founder of the minishy, the associate pastors and the elders. It was and is first, the healing of the races; second, strong men; and third, strong families. Pastor Amold lrnew that love could not be legislated through legal or Civil Rights laws. He knew that God's love was our only hope. Out of that love he birthed "Great Joy in the City", our annual international confezence dedicated to the Healing of the Races. Pastor Arnold Williams will always be lrnown far his love for a11 people, especiaily the wounded and hurting, his vision for his community, and his integrity. Out of this love, God called him to father many sons and daughters in the ministry. His vision and memory will always be cherished and embraced by the congregation at River of Life Christian Church.
