Dear Mr. Marshall:
This is written in response to the application of the Baptist
Hospital Fund, inc. for a permit to install a 65-car employee
parking lot on property located on the north side of St. Anthony
A.venue between Pierce and Aldine Streets . This property is further
described as:
Part of Lots 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33,
Midway Hospital A.ddition.
This matter was considered at the July 3, 1969, Board of Zoning
meeting. The staff reported that the parking lot will complete the
development of the block with a total of 271 cars and will match the
existing facility using existing driveways. The plan meets required
design standards and has the approval of the Traffic Engineer. No one
appeared in opposition.
Subsequently, the Board of Zoning recommends approval of this
application by a 5-0 vote.

A. HISTORY: A parking lot with a capacity of 120 cars waa enl.arged by 86 cars on
October 21, 1967, for a total capacfty of 206 cars.
B. AREA ZONING: The entire ares is zoned "C" Residence.
C. DESIGN STANDARDS: The addition to the existing parking lot will canplete the
development of the entire block. The total number of cars to be parked will
be 271 cars. The new addition will matoh the existing facility. Existing •
access drives will be used.
D. FRONTAGE AND AREA: The entire lot has a frontage of 271 feet along St. Anthony
Avenue and an area of 97,560 squere feet.
E. TRAFFIC E1�GINEER: The plans have been reviewed and approved by the Traffic .
Engineer.
F. SITE CONDTTIONS: The area for the addition is at street grade and level.
G. AREA CONDITIONS: Interstate Freeway I-94 is to the south, the west side of
Aldine Street is developed with one and two-family residences, the hospital
building adjoins to the north, and the development to the east is multi-family.

PRESBNT: Messrs. Ames, Cohen, Danna, Gedler, and Msietta of the Board and
Mesars. Sorenaon and Wilkeraon and Airs. Irish and Mias Poechmann
of the staff. Mr. McPartlin was also present but did not vote.
BAPTIST flOSPTrAY. FUND. INC.: An application for a permit to install a
65-car employee parking lot on property located on the north aide of
St. Aathoay Avenue between Pierce Street and Aldine Street. Mr. Sorenaon
said plans meet the standards for this type of facility and have beeA

As there was no opposition to the appl.icatioa, Mr. GadZer moved for
