RESOLVED, That the Council h e y concurs in the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering F. 0. B. City of `
Saint Paul Water Department Storage tanks at the t,dater Treatment Plant, 1900 Rice
Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota for period of one year beginning October 1,1969,
approximately 1500 tons (2000�� per ton) Liquid Alum (Aluminum Sulphate)� to
HAWKINS CHEMICAL, INC. at the price of $44.50 per net ton, total amount of contract
approximately $66,750.00, in accordance with City specifications therefor and the Formal
Bid #3761 of said Hawkins Chemical, Inc. , such bid being the lowest and said bidder
being a reasonable and reliable one and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is
directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Panl.
