WHER S, T ac o nting staff of the Ramsey County Welfare
Department, Ramsey C nty, and the City of Saint Paul has made
extensive studies of the "Cash Flow" of the Welfare Department
funds, and
WHEREAS, As a result of such studies, a recommendation to
simplify accounting procedure a.n.d improve the cash flow was pre-
sented to the Executive Director of the Welfare Department, County
Auditor, and the City Comptroller who concurred in the recommended
changes in procedure, subject to the concurrence of their legal
counsels; and
WHEREAS, Written concurrence has been received from legal
counsels, and
WHEREAS, This change has been presented to the City Council
and County Board meeting in joint session by the Welfare Budget
Advisory Committee; therefore , be it
RESOLVED, That �he Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby concur in the proposed procedural change� to improve the
cash flow to the We�:fare Dep�rtment a,nd hereby direets the proper
city officers and employees to assist in the implementation of thc
recommended procedural changes; and, be i.t - - - _---- . _-. -.
