No. 244705, approved July 1, 1969, did vacate a portion of Abell Street, said vacation reserving to the City of Saint Paul and other public instrumentalities the public utility easements contained therein and thereon; and WHEREAS, Amoco Chemicals Corporation has requested that the Council waive said retained ease�ments, and the affected City departments, Northern States Power Company and Northwestern Bell Telephone Company have filed written certificates of intended non-use of reserved rights and easements, which certificates are attached hereto; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul, pursuant to Section 228.05 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, as amended, does hereby waive the retained easements contained in resolution, C. F. ' Hearing - June 25, 1g69 The portion of Abell Street petitioned to be vacated is 60 f�et in width by ?+60 feet in length and contains approximately 27,600 square feet. The abutting lands along the entire area described in the petition are zoned light and heavy industrial and �ave been assembled into a site for industrial development. The north 325 feet of Abell Street petitioned to be vacated, was deeded tc the City of St. Paul on June 9, 195�+, and accepted per C.F. 169273, approved July 13, 195�+• The deed to the City contains a reversion clause specifica],1.y stating that upon cessation of use of' said land for street purposes, said land will be added to and become a part of the � ' abutting property to the east and west, sazd addition to be divided eque,lly � half and half.
