WHEREAS, the Grevy Zebra is an important exhibit at Como
Zoo; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable from the standpoint of animal
husbandry and exhibit purposes to have a trio of Grevy Lebras at Como
Zoo,
i`FIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officials
are authorized to purchase two (2) female Grevy Zebras at a price of
Twenty-five hundred fifty dollars (�2,550) each;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the purchase of a thirty-day
life insurance policy on the animals be authorized in addition to the
original purchase price.
