' : OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FILE UNCI R� OLUTION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE DATF WHEREA�S, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent, the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings, and the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as follows: Lot 7, Hazel Park Villas, St. Paul Minn. ; and WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Roosevelt Homes Playground Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the total amount of $4,100.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the land described as: Lot 7, Hazel Park Villas, St. Paul Minn. ; and RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay James E. Wiley, record fee owner, the sum of $4,100.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIR. The owner of� the above described land, James E. Wiley, has accepted an offer tendered by the City in the amount of $4,100.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the City. This property is needed by the City of Saint Paul for the Roosevelt Homes Playground Site. In view of the reasonable price for which it can be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we, the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Council of the City of Saint Paut that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu of condemnation proceedings at the price of $4,100.00 as negotiated with the owner.
