Dear Mr. and Mrs . Blanchard :
This letter is to advise you that Mr . Scott King has purchased
� the. Saint Paul TraveLodge from The TraveLodge Corporation ,
and will be your new employer. The transfer of title . will be �
effective at 12 noon , January 31 , 1969 . All motel income received
by your motel which has been paid or is due prior to 12 noon ,
January 31 , 1969 , shall be the property of The TraveLodge Corporation .
Ali ' income not so received or due shall belong to the Second King
Investment Company after 12 noon , January 31, 1969 .
The motel will be franchised with The TraveLodge Corporation so
the name will � stay the same . The Accounting Department will
continue to keep the accounts for Mr . King , so your duties will
remain the same . We will expect you to help us make this change-
over in ownership by your cooperation .
Please notify all utilities and service companies to bill through
January 31 , 1969 to The TraveLodge Corporation , and start all new
billings February 1 , 1969 to the Second King Investment Company ,
DBA Saint Paul TraveLodge .
You are hereby_ instructed to immediately open a new Bank Account by
depositing �500 in the name of Second King Investrnent Company , DBA
Saint Paul TraveLodge . This amount of $500 is to be
transferred from the present '°TraveLodge Account . Also order a book
of new checks having a diffe.rent color than is now being used. A
letter will follow to the bank with instruction as to who will sign
other than yourself. _
Mr. King or his representative will vis.it your motel in the very
near future to discuss future plans .
