COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM

WHEREAS , Roy Heuer, an employee of the Department of Publie
Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party aecident
on January 26 , 1969 , while engaged in the performance af his
duties ; and
WHEREAS , the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of 5843 . 50 therefor, and said emPloyee was disabled from work for
a period of time being paid salary in the amount of $880 . 80 for
whieh the City may claim eredit at the rate of $60 .00 per week;
and
WHEREAS , a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of $755 .50
after deductions for proportionate attorney's fees and costs , now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized
to accept the sum of $755 .50 in full� final and complete settlement
of its claim herein and to execute any necessary releases therefor,
and to endorse Check No. 5345 of Mansur, Mansur and Mansur in the
amount of $755 .50 ; that of said sum, $288.00 is thereby credited to
the Police Salary Fund and $467.50 to the Workmen's Compensation
Fund.
