WHEREAS, In the matter of Comptroller's Contract 1.-7046, 1968 Traffic
Signal Contract, Collins Electrical Construction Company Contractor, the
extended specified date of campletion is October 15, 1g6� and;
WHEREAS, The Contractor has prosecuted the work diligently, but due
to unfoieseen difficulties on the part of the Contractor and the City, he
has been unable to compiete the contract by the said extended date of com-
pletion and, therefore, be itf
RESOLVED, That the proper city officials be, and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute an amendment to said contract extending
the time of completion to December l , 1969 provided, however, that this
resolution shall have no force or effect unless a surety on the Contractor's
Bond consent thereto and filesuch consent in writing with the City Comp-
troller, and, be itj waive

FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of St. Paul hereby �co�i�lo�s al l claim
for liquidated damages and that no engineering and inspection costs on this
project will be charged to the Contracfior for such extended period.
