OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK C I E OLUTION—GENE L FORM PR�ENTED!Y COMMISSIONE DATF WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Section VI C of Ordinance No. 6446 of the salary formula, a survey of the police salaries in the metropolitan area indicates a per cent of increase for the Fire and Police occupational groups of 5.45°jo; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Section VI B of Ordinance No. 6446 of the salary formula, the following per cent of salary increases are indicated for the respective occupational groups: Occupational Group Per cent of Increase Attendance arid Inspectional 5. 70% Clerical 5. 70°Jo Fire 5. 75% Manual and Maintenance 5.80% Police 5. 75°Jo Professional 5.40°fo Subprofessional 5.40°Jo Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the salary rates payable to the Fir� and Police Occupational Groups in Section 6 of the Rules, in accorda.nce with the provisions of Section VI C of Ordina.nce No. 6446, are hereby increas�d � 5.45°fo above the rates currently in effect; and that such higher rates shall � become effective December 27, 1969, and that such increases shall be applied before the increases in aECOrdance wifih Section VI B; be it further RESOLVED, that the salary rates payable to each of the classes established in each of the occupational groups of Section 6 of the Rules in � accordance with the provision of Section I B of Ordinance No. 6446, are � hereby increased over the rates currently in effect, or currently adjusted in accordance with Section VI C, by the percentages indicated above and in accordance with Section VI B of Ordi.nance No. 6446; and that such higher rates shall become effective as of December 27, 1969. The salary increases indicated in accordance with the survey provided for in Section VI C indicates the increase for the Police and Fire Occupational Groups should be 5.45% as of January 1, 1g70. The salary increases indicated for the respective occupational groups for January 1, 1970 in accordance with the "Salary Formula", are: Occupational Group Increase Attendance a.nd Inspectional 5.70°fo Clerical 5. 70% Fire 5. 75°fo Manual and Maintenance 5. 80% Police 5. 75% Professional 5.40% Subprofe s s ional 5.40% Further, it is recommended that the salaries for the classes of positions in the Grades up to and including Grade 26 in the following occupational groups-- Attendance and Inspectional, Clerical, and Subprofessional -- be increased an additional 3°jo beyond that which is indicated in the Councilis "Salary Formula".
