RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in
the matter of condemning and taking for the opening, widening
and extending the Arch-Pennsylvania Highway from Lafayette
Road to Payne Avenue, the tollowing described land:
The Westerly 45'� teet of the Northeasterly � of
Lot 4, Irvines Addition of Outlots to the Town
of St. Paul;
duly ratified by Resolution of the Council of the City of Saint Paul,
Council File No. 239188, approved June 25, 1968, that the awa�d of
damages made to Daniel M. Pilla and Carlyn J. Pilla, Twelve Thousand
Dollars ($12,00�) of which was previously paid to said parties under
Resolution ot the Council of the City of Saint Paul, Council File No.
241660, approved January 14, 1969, and the court order provided
therefor, and the balance of Foux� Thousand Dollars ($4,000) set
aside in the City Treasury under Resolu�ion of the Council of the
City of Saint Paul, Council File No. 240370, approved September 26,
1968, shall be and hereby is increased to the total sum of Seventeen
Thousand Dollars ($17,000) 1 and be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, �hat the proper City officers are authorized
and directed to pay the balance of the increased amownt of Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000) to Daniel M. Pilla and Carlyn J. Pilla
and their attorn�ey, John E. Daubney, upon their dismissal of their
appeal from the award of damages.
