Gleason, owner, applied for an Auto Repair Gazage License for Precision Tune Auto Caze at 360 Sneliing Avenue South. This is a Class N license, which means that notification was sent to the neighborhood giving residents until September 26 to voice any objections to this license application. If anyone had objections to this license, they were told to write Marcia Moerxnond, Legislative Hearing Officer. Ms. Moermond received only one objection to the license application. Wendy Nemitz, 325 Brixnhall Street, wrote that her only concern was that this license not include body repair or painting as she is "very allergic to paint." She also wrote that Precision Tune has been a good neighbor. I spoke to Corinne Asuncion in the Office of LIEP. She verified for me that this license application does not include body painting. She told me that if the applicant wants to paint cars in the future, he will have to apply for another type of Class N license, and there would be neighborhood notification again. Ms. Asunsion also informed me that the applicant has agreed with and signed the eleven conditions that LIEP has recommended for this license. Condition #7 reads "Auto body repair and auto body spray painting is not allowed." I contacted Ms. Nemitz via e-mail and explained that this license would not allow body painting. She wrote me back with the following statement: "I have no objections if their improvements do not call for paint." Given the above, Ms. Moermond did not hold a legislative hearing on this matter, and she recommends that the City Council approve the license application with the eleven conditions that have already been signed by the applicant. The resolufion is attached. c: Marcia Moermond, Legislative Heazing Officer Chrisfine Rozek, LIEP Corinne Asunsion, LIEP Wendy Nemitz, 325 Brimhall Street
