i Honoring KFAI Presh Air Radio
2 WF3EREAS, KFAI, Fresh Air Radio, is a non-commercial, volunteer-operated, listener-supported
3 non-profit radio service operating at 106 FM in Saint Paul and 90.3 FM in Minneapolis; and
4 WHEREAS, KFAI has served Saint Pau1 for 25 years, offering music, news, information and the
5 arts; and
6 WHEREAS, in an era of the mega-media conglomerate, KFAI remains a locally-programmed
7 station able to respond to the unique needs of our community by offering a rich schedule of news
8 and music in the native languages of Saint Paul's many immigrant residents; and
9 WHEREAS, KFAI extends its reach by supporting and promoting a host of community activities
10 and events; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council is grateful for the many contributions made by KFAI Fresh Air
12 Radio;
]3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul that
14 Wednesday, October 15, 2003 is hereby proclaimed to be KFAI Fresh Air Radio Day in the City of
15 Saint Pau1.
