WHEREAS, the Building Codes of the City of Saint Paul are
in need of updating and revision, and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Architect to recommend
that a nationally recognized Model Building Code be adopted as
the Building Code of the City of Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary for the City Architect or his
representative to be present at code hearings and code delibera-
tions to represent the interests of the City of Saint Paul at
model code hearings; and
WHEREAS, there has been established a special revenue fund
known as the Building Codes Fund to cover the cost of publishing
a revised Building Code; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Architect is hereby authorized to
approve expenditures from this fund for the purpose of attending
said model code hearings and other expenses necessary for complete
revision of the City' s Building Gode, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that total expenditures for the above
stated purposes shall not exceed the sum of Two Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($2,500) .
