WHEREAS, Shepard Road has been re-aligned between Randolph Avenue and Wabasha Street;
and
WHEREAS, a portion of old Shepard Road between the High Bridge and Randolph Avenue
remains as access to the Xcel Energy plant, the Samuel H. Morgan Regional Trail, and a parcel
owned by the Saint Paul Port Authority; and
WHEREAS, this portion of old Shepard Road is a natural extension of Randolph Avenue; and
W HEREAS, Xcel Energy, the Saint Paul Port Authority, the Department of Public Works, and
Parks and Recreation, are all in agreement that this portion of old Shepard Road should be
renamed to Randolph Avenue; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the portion of old Shepard Road between the High Bridge and Randoiph
Avenue, as shown on the attached map, is officially renamed as Randolph Avenue.
