WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Parks and Recreation has a cooperative partner in the Capital
Region Watershed District (CRWD); and
WIIEREAS, the CRWD has offered to enter into a$7,000 agreement with Parks and Recreation
to be used towards funding a natural resource intern; and
5 WHEREAS, this natural resources intern will wark specifically on Como shoreline restaration
6 maintenance, natural area and wildlife surveys, invasive plant monitoring and control,
7 water-quality education and interpretation, and participation in and/or leading volunteer natural
8 resource activities; and,
9 WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation was willing and able to staff this position; and,
10 WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does
11 certify that there are auailable for appropriation, funds of $7,000 in excess of those estimated in
12 the 2003 budget; and
13 WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following additions be made to the 2003 budget:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these
changes to the 2003 budget; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and proper City officials are hereby authorized to
execute agreements with the CRWD to accept and implement said agreement.
