WHEREAS� the Saint Paul Legislative Code, Section 130. 09,
requires that application for a parade permit be submitted seven
days prior to a parade, and that said permit shall be issued by
a committee composed of the police department, traffic engineer-
ing bureau and public utilities department, such permit to be
issued only for Saturdays , Sundays, national holidays, or after
6:00 P.M. on any other day; and
WHEREAS, Michael Glennon and others have requested per-
mission of the mayor and the city council for a parad�, to pro-
ceed from Snelling and University Avenues, easterly on University
Avenue to the State Capitol Building, to commence at 12;00 M. on
May 6, 1970; and
WHEREAS� the Council finds that a special occasion
exists ,
Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul , that
a special permit hereby is granted to Michael Glennon and others
for a parade , to commence at 12:00 M. on Wednesday, May 6, 1970,
along the following route :
Commencing at University Avenue and Snelling
Avenue , proceeding easterly on University Avenue
to the State Capitol Building, using only the
eastbound traffic lanes ;
and be it .
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the provisions of the Saint Paul
Legislative Code, Sec. 130.09, are hereby suspended, as provided
in said section.
