WHEREAS, Dennis Stoterau, an employee of the Department
of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third
party accident on January 18 , 1970, while engaged in the
performance of his duties ; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical exp�nse in the
amount of $36.75 therefor and employee was disabled from work
for a period of time being paid salary in the amount of $73.50
for which the City ma.y claim credit at the rate of $14.00 per
day; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated between said
employee and the other party involved in said accident, out
of which the City will receive $b4.75; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers•are hereby
authorized to accept the check of State Farm Insurance
Company in the amount of $110.25; that of said sum, the
City shall retain $64.75, $36.75 to be credited to the
Workmen s Compensation Fund and $28.00 to be credited to
the Police Salary Fund; and that a check for the remainder
of said sum be issued to Officer Dennis Stoterau.
