RESOLVED, that the Council hereby ratifies and approves the
action of the Saint Paul Board of Appeals and Review for the Hous-
ing, Building, and Fire Prevention Codes at its meeting of March
25, 1970 pertaining to the property located at 2097 Fairmount
Ave, owned by Evan J. Currence and described as :
Lot 12, Block 4, Groveland Addition;
granting Mr. Currence a choice of two options :
Option No. 1 .
That a waiver of Sections 34.01, 54.07 and 54.13 (4) of
the Saint Paul Legislative Code, that no space in any
cellar be used for sleeping purposes, be granted to
allow continued occupancy of the basement apartment at
2097 Fairmount Ave, subject to the following conditions:
a) Provide a glass area and window opening for the
� basement apartment in accordance with Section 3401
� paragr_aphs 2 and 3 of the Saint Paul Building Code.

� b) Provide an additional exitway from the basement
� apartment in accordance with Section 11-6212 of
a a the Safety of Life Code, adopted b� reference by
Q the City cf Saint Paul.
� c) Provide a basement partition and fire door for the
basement apartment in accordance with Section 926
of the St. Paul Building Code.
d) Provide a ceiling for the basement apartment in ac-
cordance with Section 927 of the St. Paul Building
Code, if not already done so,
e) Limit the basement occupancy to a sleeping room
only with no cooking or refrigeration facilities.
