Wf�REAS, The Committee on La.nds, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Parks and-
Recreation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Pa.ul, has secured
an agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as
follows:
Lots 1 and 2, Block 4, Como Prospect Addition
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the Loeb Lake
Park Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the
total amount of �11,500.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the
appraisal obtained by the Cammittee on Lands; and
WHEREAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee
submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Chaxter of the City of
Saint Pa.ul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize
the purchase of the land described as;
Lots 1 and 2, Block 4, Como Prospect Addition
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Clarence A. Lindeke, record fee owner, the sum of
� �11,500.00, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIRFund Code
6000, to be reimbursed from Fund 9769-502-001, upon his furnishing evidence
of good marketable title in the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment
to be made upon tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveying title
to said property to the City ot' Saint Pa.ul.

The ow�ner of the above described 1ar�d, Cla�rence A. Lindeke, has ac-
cepted an offer tendered him by the City in the amount of �11,500.00
as comnensation for t11e sale of the land to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of
Saint Pau1 for Loeb Lake Park. In view of the reasonable price �or
which it can be purchased, said price being the appraised fair and
reason�,ble marlcet value therefore, we, the Committee on Lands, do
recor,imend to the Council �f the Ci.tJ of Saint Paul that it authorize
the nurchase of said land in lieu of condemnatioil proceedings at the r,rice of
y�?1,500.00, as negotiated with �he owner.
