WHEREAS, The Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing
Agent, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Paxks and
Recreation and Public Buildings of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an
agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as follows:
Lots eight (8) and nine (9) in Block two (2) Como Prospect
Addition, acc.
WHEREAS, The property described therein is necessaxy for the Loeb I,ake
Park Site, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the
total amount of $1,55U.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the
appraisal ebtained by the Committee on Lands; and
WI�REAS, Sai� Committee has recommended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said Committee
submitted herewith; novr, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the City of
Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the
purchase of the land described as:
Lots eight (8) and nine (9) in Block two (2) Como Prospect
Addition, acc.
BESOLVED FURTI�t, That the proper City Officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to Constance G. Logajan, the executrix of the estate of
Arcade Lo�ajan, record fee owner, the sum of $1,550.00, said sum to be paid
to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund Code 6000, to be reimbursed from
Fund 9769-502-003, upon her furnishing evidence of good marketable title in
the aforesaid vendor, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said
party of appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to the City of
Saint Paul.

Gentlemen and Madam:
The City of Saint Pa.u1, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has
negotiated to purchase certain property described as follows:
Lots eight (8) and nine (9) in Block two (2) in
Como Prospect Addition, acc.
Constance G. Logajan, executrix of the estate of Arcade Logajan, record
fee owner of the above described land, has accepted an offer tendered
her by the City in the amount of $1,550.00 as compensation for the sale
of the land to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of
Saint Paul for Loeb Lake Park. In view of the reasonable price for
which it can be purchased, said price bein� the appraised fair and
reasonable market value therefore, we, the Committee on Lands, do
recommend to the Council of the City of Saint Pa.ul that it authorize
the purchase of said land in lieu of condemnation proceedin�sat the
price of $1,5;0.00 as negotiated with Constance G. Logajan.
